B.Lynne Hoff B.Sc.Pharm was raised around good horses and has ridden competitively all her life. Lynne brings 60 years of horsemanship skills to the horse industry and is best known for owning and standing the Canadian Legend, top reining horse sire CHICS IN THE MALE. CHICS IN THE MALE ("Bubba") was the first son of Smart Chic Olena imported into Canada and has produced more Canadian Supreme Open Reining Futurity Champions than any other sire in the 50 year history of the event.
As an ex-pharmacist of 28 years and now an orthotic specialist, Lynne offers a unique blend of health care and equine expertise. "I could not believe what was offered as horse supplements/feeds by the major feed companies. It is disgraceful how many of them make outlandish medical claims and do not even label the products properly. All products should have a guaranteed analysis and a complete ingredient list on the packaging and in their literature including websites. When I purchased the stallion and got serious about raising top quality offspring, I wanted a feed supplement that made sense. Every ingredient had to be pharmaceutical grade with special attention to bioavailability. AND I wanted to address the age old problem of equine colic so that meant preparing the gut to receive nutrients while maintaining a healthy bacterial population. Amazingly, a gentleman came into my orthotic booth when I was working down in Idaho and told me about this amazing product for horses that his son made. Bells went off in my head and I got enough from him for my whole herd. The product was everything and more that I had been searching for. That started a 17 year relationship with me selling to a few of my associates in Canada. We are now going to start manufacturing in Canada under the guidence of the parent company. I have not advertised extensively. That is very costly and I would have to raise the price of BioEquine dramatically to make an advertising campaign feasable. Perhaps that explains why other, much less complete and less viable probiotic preparations are so much more expensive than Bioequine. "
Lynne continues to reside on Sunglade Ranch at Sundre, Alberta, Canada www.sunglade.com, competes in reining and cutting on CHICS IN THE MALE offspring when she has time and travels to trade shows with her corrective orthotics www.footandback.com to "support my horse habit".
